June 19-July 2, 2026
Opening Reception June 19 from 6-9PM
Ali Gray Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work by Christopher Roddick, featuring richly textured paintings inspired by Provincetown's coastal landscape and maritime culture.
A longtime favorite among Provincetown collectors, Roddick is known for paintings that capture the visual language of life by the sea, such as weathered oars, buoys, boats, swimmers, life jackets, and other familiar coastal forms.
While rooted in recognizable imagery, the work is distinguished by its remarkable use of paint and surface. Through layered texture and dimensional application, Roddick invites viewers to experience not only the subject itself but the physical presence of the work.
Bold, tactile, and unmistakably connected to Provincetown, Roddick's paintings celebrate both the beauty and character of a working coastal community while transforming everyday maritime objects into deeply expressive compositions.
